Privacy

Boat Records is a local-first iPhone app. It does not require a user account or collect your boat records for the developer.

Your app data

Boat, system, maintenance, service, checklist and document records are stored on your device. Records and files leave the app when you choose to export, share, back up or move them through Apple features or another destination. Apple backup and iCloud Drive follow your device and account settings.

Camera and photos

Camera access is requested when you choose to scan a document. The scan is prepared for your local document vault. Boat Records does not use an AI, OCR or hosted-processing service for the core document workflow. A boat photo is imported when you choose it through the photo picker.

Tracking and purchases

The current app has no third-party advertising, attribution or analytics SDKs and does not track you across other companies’ apps or websites. Apple processes purchases, renewals and refunds. The app reads verified StoreKit purchase information to determine Pro access; it does not receive your payment-card details.

Control and deletion

You can export your records, delete individual records or use the app’s local-data deletion controls. Removing app-managed data does not delete copies you already exported or shared elsewhere. Keep an independent backup before removing the app.

This website and support

This static website adds no advertising pixels, analytics scripts, account system or tracking cookies. Your motion preference is saved in browser session storage for this visit; it is not sent to the developer. The hosting and network providers process technical request information needed to deliver and secure the pages; their service policies also apply. Apple and other external links use their own privacy policies.

Information you voluntarily submit to support is separate from the records stored in the app. Support email is handled using Google email services to receive and answer your request. Provide only what is needed to investigate your request. Do not post private documents or payment details in a public issue.
